Aug 1, 2021: Mississippi Enhanced Concealed Handgun Permit Honored in Nevada
Nevada makes a change to its concealed carry permit reciprocity list. Reciprocity is an agreement between states, where one state will honor a handgun license permit from another.
Update to Nevada Concealed Carry Reciprocity Agreement With Mississippi:
As of yesterday, August 1st, 2021, Nevada started honoring the Mississippi enhanced concealed carry license. The enhanced permit requires additional firearm training, where the standard Mississippi permit does not.
If you currently have a standard Mississippi permit and want to carry your handgun in Nevada, you can get the training required to obtain the endorsement. Without the enhanced permit, you would violate Nevada law if you were to carry your concealed handgun.
You can check which states will honor your standard Mississippi permit and which ones will only honor the enhanced version by using this reciprocity map builder.
